An Almost Vampiric Schedule
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Twilight fan bent on telling you how amazing Robert Pattinson’s hair–supposedly–was during the movie. I actually haven’t watched the movie yet and I’m trying to hold off on it, even though I know that it’s only a matter of time before I suckered into watching it. Ok, ok, so yes, I did buy a copy of the three disc dvd at Target when I went there last Friday. However! It was $17 so I feel justified in my purchase; at least more so than I would’ve if it had cost $20 or more. Of course, that Target trip, one of the guys who worked there decided to complain about Twilight to/with me, hoped like crazy that it would sell out by the end of the week so that he didn’t have to see anymore of the dvds, and asked me where my Twilight shirt was. Honestly? It made me feel like I need a sign to wear that loudly proclaims “I am not a Twilight fanatic!” Would it work? Probably not.
Alas! I fear that I do indeed have classes to attend to tomorrow–though luckily none are before eight in the morning–and that means that I really do need to finish up my post so that I can manage to catch a few Z’s before it’s time to start the day–with a large cup of Starbucks coffee and a few early morning thoughts scribbled into the waiting pages of my Moleskine notebook that conveniently is just the right size to fit inside my purse. Oh, and don’t get me wrong, I love supernatural–fictional–stories and novels, but I often tend to quickly step away from them when they get turned into movies. Why? Alright, I’ll admit it, it’s because I feel like the appearance of the character that I felt was right is actually completely wrong and after watching the movie, I associate the actors and actresses that played the character roles as the characters. Sure, some people can write amazing fanfictions because of this, but I’m usually slightly miffed. Ok, ok, I also definitely don’t like what I call “Attack of the fangirls, run!” It often involves screaming tween to teenaged girls running like maniacs towards an actor or actress that played a role in one of the movies. Fine, it’s the screaming that really bothers me. Why? Er, it’s loud? Like fingernails on a chalkboard sort of loud; you know, the one you really don’t want to listen to if you can help it.
Well, that’s all for now. Check back soon!
